EUKI Academy Web-Seminar: Recap of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union – Insights on Climate Policy Achievements and Collaboration Strategies of 2nd half of 2020

EUKI Academy Web-Seminar will take place on 9th February 2021.

The EUKI web-seminar will offer insights into Germany’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the 2nd half of 2020. The representatives of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) as well as the EUKI project Three4Climate will give a recap of the presidency, climate policy achievements and the collaboration among different actors.

In the first part of the seminar, the representatives of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), Dr. Eva Kracht (Deputy Director General for European Policy), Caterina Salb (Consultant) and Mateja Kahmann (Policy Officer), will briefly explain the concept of the EU Council Presidency and will summerise the German Presidency with a focus on what has been achieved in terms of climate policy. In the second part, Sigrid Lindner (Guidehouse), Camille Serre (adelphi) and Marlies Bock (Unabhängiges Institut für Umweltfragen e.V.) will present the main activities of the EUKI project Three4Climate, which aims to foster multi-level collaboration for climate action and to translate the spirit of the Trio Presidency between Germany, Portugal and Slovenia into tangible cooperation at all levels of governance, among others. They will also give insight in the project activities with municipalities and schools in this regard. In the final part, there will be a Q&A session with the speakers. Summary of the event will be posted on our Website and on social media.
