We are pleased to invite everyone to visit the website of the National Climate Change Centre, which is the first interdisciplinary centre in Poland dealing with climate change and its consequences. The Centre activities began in April 2020 within the structures of IOŚ-PIB to provide knowledge and solutions for climate policy, supporting public administration and local governments, cooperating with academia and scientific and research institutes in Poland and abroad, also supporting business and NGOs.
The Centre carries out projects in the field of climate change adaptation, socio-economic impacts of climate change, climate education, low-carbon transport. It works in the areas of climate resilience (especially urban resilience) closed-circuit economy, just transition, green technologies, green finance.
As part of the National Climate Change Centre’s website, the web search for EcoGrants has been launched: http://ekodotacje.ios.edu.pl/
The EcoGrants web search engine contains over 100 financial support programmes for ecological investments. The tool, prepared by the National Climate Change Centre (operating within the Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute), is intended to facilitate finding funds for ecological investments – from installing photovoltaic panels to environmental education programmes. It is a knowledge base on current supporting programmes depending on the type of investment.
